Investor Intel now runs on CoinMarketCap Professional: live charts, where every asset trades, derivatives by venue, thirteen years of history and holder intelligence

Investor Intel now runs on CoinMarketCap's Professional data plan, and this release puts it to work. Charts stream while you watch them. Asset pages gain CoinMarketCap news, the venues where the asset actually trades and how far their prices sit apart, dated all-time highs and lows, and a year of intraday history down to five minutes. Market structure adds open interest, funding and basis by venue for the largest derivatives markets. A history atlas reaches back to 2013: who entered and left the top 100, what the market looked like on any past day, and a screen you can replay on past dates with delisted assets included, now open on the free plan. On-chain, DEX coverage grows from four networks to ten, risk badges on EVM tokens gain CoinMarketCap's security checks, discovery boards record how long a token stays on them, and holder boards refresh on a schedule with concentration trends, cohort profit and loss, and alerts when a holder group's share moves. Markets now reaches past the top 1,000 to rank 5,000. Alerts and theses can watch the new figures, research answers cite only what was recorded, your own agent gains nine new tools, and behind it all our two market data providers are checked against each other every hour.

New

Investor Intel

  • Charts that update while you watch

When you have a chart open, the newest candle forms live from CoinMarketCap's stream and a small line says how many seconds ago it last updated. Studies, structure lines, alerts and shared images keep using closed candles, so nothing you measure changes under you.

  • CoinMarketCap news on the asset page

Asset pages for the largest assets, and for the ones members are watching, carry a list of recent CoinMarketCap news about that asset, refreshed every fifteen minutes, with the source and time on each line.

  • Where an asset trades

A section on the asset page lists the venues that trade it, with each venue's share of volume and how far its price sits from the others, so an outlier venue stands out. Market structure adds spot exchange rankings and each exchange's volume history back to 2018, and tokenized real-world assets gain the list of venues and pairs that actually carry them.

  • Derivatives by venue

For the largest assets with derivatives, market structure shows how much open interest each venue carries, its share, how it moved over the last day, and a chart of the last day to week. Open a venue to see its largest contracts with their funding rate and their basis against the index.

    • Funding is shown per the venue's own funding period, which differs by venue (for example eight hours on one, one hour on another), so rates from two venues are not directly comparable and are never ranked or annualised
    • Refreshed about every two hours
  • A year of intraday history

The chart reaches twelve months back at hourly and four-hour intervals, ninety days at fifteen minutes and thirty days at five minutes.

  • A history atlas back to 2013

Three new ways to read the market's past.

    • Rank atlas: every asset that was in the top 100 on a sampled date since April 2013, and, step by step, who entered and who left
    • The market on any day since 2013: total market capitalisation, BTC dominance, fear and greed and the CMC 100, daily since 2013 and hourly for the last twelve months
    • Screen backtests: replay a rank band on past dates and see what the cohort did next. Delisted assets stay in, so the result is not flattered by survivors. It describes a past sample and is not a forecast
  • All-time highs with their dates

Each asset shows its all-time high and low with the day each was set, and its highs and lows over the last year, ninety, thirty and seven days and twenty four hours.

  • Ranks 1,001 to 5,000

Markets now continues past the top 1,000. Signed-in members can page through ranks 1,001 to 5,000 beneath the main screen, find them by ticker, name or contract, and open any of them. The section says when it was last checked and that these thinner markets carry lower data quality, and where CoinGecko lists the same contract each row says whether the two sources agree.

  • Holder intelligence on a schedule

For tokens you track, CoinMarketCap's holder groups (whales, smart money, insiders, bots and others) refresh on a schedule instead of only when you ask. You get a concentration trend by group, the number of holder accounts day by day for up to ninety days, and cohort profit and loss: realised gains, net buying and average cost. These are figures about addresses the data source has labelled, never about people, and a figure the source reports impossibly is left out rather than drawn.

  • Holder-shift alerts

Set an alert for when a holder group's share of supply, balance or account count rises or falls by your percentage between two captures, with the same crossing, sustained and reset controls as price alerts.

  • Alerts and theses on market structure

Alerts and thesis conditions can now watch how concentrated an asset's spot trading is, how far its prices differ between venues, how many venues carry a tokenized asset and how much trades there, how far an asset sits below its dated all-time high, and how long a token stays on a DEX board. Each one can be previewed against the history already recorded before you save it, and these alerts stay in the app.

  • The market on that day

Wherever a thesis, an alert or a shared receipt refers to a past day, one line now shows what the market looked like that day: total market capitalisation, BTC dominance and fear and greed.

  • DEX discovery boards

Hourly trending, new and gainer boards across ten networks record how long each token has stayed on a board, and new tokens with real liquidity get a security and holder check once a day.

  • A second view of sectors

The categories page compares CoinMarketCap's full category list with the sector labels used elsewhere in Investor Intel: where they agree, where they overlap and where they place an asset differently, with gaps in either source counted apart from disagreements.

  • What the community is watching

The market discovery workspace shows the five tokens and topics trending in CoinMarketCap's community, with their recent movement, and a market-wide headline list.

  • Nine new tools for your own agent

The hosted MCP address gains nine read-only tools for signed-in members: exchange rankings and one venue's history, where an asset trades, venues for a tokenized asset, dated all-time highs and lows, the rank and market history atlases, DEX discovery boards, holder intelligence for a contract, CoinMarketCap's category view against our sectors, and whether two independent sources agree on a figure. Every answer carries its capture time, its source and the CoinMarketCap attribution, and none of them calls the provider. The data budget tool also states the data plan in force and when the current grant ends.

Improved

Investor Intel

  • Research that cites only what was recorded

Research, Explain and Investigate now draw on more of what Investor Intel records for an asset: its dated high and low, where it trades and how far its venues disagree, holder figures for the exact contract, contract security flags, the category view beside our sectors, and whether CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko agree. Every figure in a generated answer has to match one of these recorded readings, and each investigation lens shows the context it rests on.

  • The history atlas on the free plan

Free members can now open the rank atlas, the market history and the screen backtest, read from a shared history cache within a daily allowance.

  • Distance from the high uses the dated high

A thesis condition on distance from the high now uses CoinMarketCap's dated all-time high and says when it falls back to the window it loaded.

  • DEX data on ten networks

CoinMarketCap DEX data now covers BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Sonic and Robinhood Chain as well as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Solana: prices, pools, holders, discovery boards and the live tape.

  • Risk badges with security checks

On EVM tokens the risk badge includes CoinMarketCap's contract security checks, such as honeypot, sell restrictions, taxes and mint or blacklist powers, alongside the existing sources, and names where each finding came from.

  • Contract pages go deeper

Contract pages add a holder-count trend chart, activity broken down by type, a deeper swap-flow sweep covering the last day, and DEX price history beyond two years on weekly candles. The live tape draws its one-minute candles.

  • Meme graduation from the source

The graduation board includes CoinMarketCap's own Pump.fun and Four.meme stages, refreshed every five minutes and whenever you open the board.

  • Providers checked against each other

Every hour, prices and market caps from our two market data providers are compared for every asset both list, and DEX prices are compared with independent pool data, so a provider that drifts or goes dark is noticed within the hour.

  • Plain answers where our plan stops

Where a figure is not part of our data plan, such as network statistics, the page says so in one plain line instead of showing an empty gauge.

  • DeFi pool charts load faster

Pool history on the DeFi page comes from our own shared cache rather than from your browser calling a third party.

  • Rank history for 14 to 23 October

Daily rank history for those days has been rebuilt from end-of-day data, so the rank charts and the atlas show the real order for each day.

  • Token Intelligence when live data is unavailable

Token lookup and refresh show a clear "live token data is temporarily unavailable" notice instead of an error when the live source does not answer.
